It feels like she doesn't actually read the responses on the lab reports, as she will claim something is missing from the response when what is "missing" is the first thing on the answer. It also seems like she doesn't think through the responses as she will grade you verbatim to the answer key instead of trying to use reasoning. For example, I could say a sugar free grape jelly product can be sold safely via canning, but she would say heat treating it isn't a valid method of preserving sugar free grape jelly when it clearly is because the answer key was wrong. She should be able to sense that the answer key is questionable and go to the prof to confirm that the answer on the key is actually correct. Literally every assignment she graded off me had multiple errors that made absolutely no sense. Made me lose motivation in the course since I would have to constantly double check course content to make sure I'm not crazy, then find time to go over it with the prof.

I saw ewok at a grocery store in Guelph yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything. She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “M’am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

She graded participation harshly, even if you raise your hand and answer more than 3-4 questions through out the whole tutorial she would still give you a 75-90. Very hard to earn her participation grades. I emailed her one time, the response from her was basically "answer more questions". She doesn't give thoughtful discussion questions for us to talk about, often just grab a concept from the reading and ask us what does that mean. Overall, very terrible ta.

AVOID SHARON HENRY! Sharon Henry had the potential of being an amazing T.A. Although she had great potential, she has a very odd way in how she treats her students. She has a distasteful attitude and does not help her students learn or develop. Sharon has been caught being discouraging during tutorials causing many students to be afraid of speaking out. Sharon shows blatantly who she really likes within her tutorial classes. Sharon is not flexible and does not care about students who are in binding circumstances. Sharon has laughed in my face when I answered a question; belittling me which made me question myself as a student. She is not encouraging and is very harsh in her interactions with students. Sharon purposefully gave my classmate a failing grade--all of my classmates believes it was because it Sharon had some odd dislike towards the person. My friend had to reach out to the professor to review her work. The professor for HREQ 1800 reviewed my classmates assignments and gave her a B+ in the course.
